Scott Choi, D.M.D.
Dr. Choi grew up in New York City and went to Collegiate School in the Upper West Side. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Brown University. He has worked in the IT industry and in medical imaging research before receiving his dental training at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Dr. Choi then returned to New York City to complete his general practice residency at Bellevue Hospital. He has been in private practice ever since in the Greater New York area and in Ithaca, NY. Dr. Choi is dedicated to serving his patients with the highest quality of care. He constantly reviews literature, broadens his knowledge through continuing education, and incorporates new techniques and materials into his practice. He has been searching for ways to give back to the community. In the last two years, he has traveled to South Africa on a mission trip to provide dental care to HIV orphans. He has taught an ethics course at NYU and plans to teach at Columbia University as a clinical instructor.
Dr. Choi is an avid classical cellist, having been trained at Juilliard School in his teens. He likes to play with other musicians locally, and his latest interest has been experimenting with jazz.
