Thorough, observant,  passionate, mentoring, educating—these are all aspects of Patrice Duncan’s day-to-day life. Patrice moved to the U.S. from Trinidad, where she began her career as a clinical dental hygienist. Patrice graduated from the dental hygiene program at New York City College of Technology and obtained her bachelor of science degree in Health Services Administration from New York City College of Technology. Her outstanding chairside education earned her the “A” Award demonstrating the greatest proficiency and proper attitude in clinical and dental hygiene skills, STAR Award, and The Oral Health Committee of The Second District Dental Society Award.

She has 18 years of experience in dentistry and has been a dental hygienist since 2004. Patrice served on the Colgate Oral Health Advisory Board (COHAB) 2017, where she worked with several team members in creating strong systems that focus on disease prevention and education on oral-systemic health.

As a new team member of SLim Dental, she aims to continue using her interpersonal relationships to guide patients toward healthy behaviors regarding their oral health and overall well-being. When it comes to patient care, there’s no judgment, but focusing on periodontal health and ensuring patients are healthy.
